My New Favorite
Now that summer is almost over, I've been thinking about getting caught up on my scrapbook pages. I finished this layout last week and I think it's one of my new favorites. I like using multiple photos on a page but have never used THIS many. I am happy with the turnout!!! I enjoy trying out new techniques with my pages and with this one I used stamping, embossing, die cutting, and I used my stamp pads to color the squares. It was time consuming but so much fun!!

A Little Behind
Things have been a little crazy around here and because of that, my scrapbooking is a little behind. I'm waiting for spring to arrive and the clouds and rain are making us a little stir-crazy. We did a 2.2 mile walk for mental health awareness this weekend (in the rain) and it was so much fun. I was going to run it and have the kids run the kid's run but with the weather, we decided to walk the entire thing together as a family. I'm glad we did. The kids enjoyed it and we raised money for a wonderful cause. It was nice to do it together.
Rylin's first year of dance at Just for Kix is coming to an end so I wanted to make sure I finished a scrapbook page with her beautiful dance pictures. She very rarely looks at the camera so I was very surprised when I got these pictures back and she was looking at the camera AND smiling. That's how much she loves dance!!!
Until next time, PRAY FOR SUN!!!!

I finished a page recently of Kendra that I thought turned out cute. She is such a fun little girl and is always doing silly things. She talks non-stop just like her sister and its so fun just to sit and listen to her. She keeps us on our toes.
Until next time, PRAY FOR SUN!!!!

Snow Days
I finally dug back into my scrapbooking on Saturday to catch up on a few pages. The picture above is Rylin enjoying the winter. (She didn't get that from me!)
And this one is of Kendra at Nickelodeon Universe. We had so much fun, I just had to scrap it.

A Not So Crafty Weekend
We had a very busy but very fun weekend. Being that I work every other weekend, the weekends I have off seem to be jammed packed with activities. Rylin had a dance show early Saturday morning so we decided since we were all up and out of the house we would go to the Mall of America. The kids have been asking and its the start of spring break so we spent most of Saturday down there. Kendra wanted to visit the Backyardigans but when it came time for a picture, that was too close for comfort. She wanted a picture, but only with Momma so I got to be in the picture too!! It was a ton of fun. We ate lunch, rode rides, visited a few characters, and did a little shopping. I can tell the kids are getting older because it was a lot easier than normal and I never once lost my patience. We plan to go back in a few weeks to visit Underwater World because we didn't want to do too much in one day. Abby rode some rides she was afraid of last year and Kendra and Rylin really enjoyed the rides too.
Todd has been working on getting the basement framed up so that has consumed all of today so far. I did get to put together one scrapbook page of Rylin when she turned 4. I love it....like always.
I hope everyones weekend was as great as ours. Busy.....but fun!!!!

5 Things I Love
No more fevers in the house..YEAH!!! That means I have more time to scrapbook. I finally finished the page of Abby when she turned 5. Yes, I said 5. I know I'm a little behind but I kind of jump around and fill in where I think I need some pages. I realized I only had 2 or 3 pages of Abby when she was five so I figured I'd throw in a couple more. So here is my finished page. Sorry about the bad lighting but its cloudy and my lighting isn't the best.
I titled my page "5 Things I Love". I could have come up with hundreds of things I love about Abby but I thought 5 was fitting since she's 5 in the pictures. I used my Sew Easy on the sewing for the top and bottom. Its not the easiest thing to do but it works. Someday I hope to get my sewing machine running so it looks a little better but for now the Sew Easy works just fine.
This is one of Abby's 7 year pages. I did two of her that year because the pictures turned out so darn cute. (Thanks Carrie!!!). This is one of my favorites because I love the colors and I LOVE the picture.
That's it for today. Not much else is happening. I'm still waiting for the sun and the warmth but I think I'll be waiting awhile. Maybe time to move to a warmer state....
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!!!!

Spring Can Come Anytime
A nasty cold bug has hit our house. I was hoping I was going to be one of the lucky ones who's family didn't get sick but not so much. Rylin started with it last week and has now graciously passed it to Kendra. Its so nice how they share these things. Its just a nasty cold and with Kendra, a fever. Not so much fun but it could be a lot worse so I guess we're OK.
Since my time has been consumed by this virus, not much in the scrap world is getting done. I have been doing a layout of Abby when she turned 5 but its still not complete after working on it for the last 2-3 days. I'm hoping tomorrow I can post it and I'm hoping tomorrow all my kids will be feeling better.
Because I'm sick of this cold weather and the cold/flu season, I'm going to show a picture of where I wish I was right about now. Basking in the sun with an ice cold drink of some sort. (like kool-aid) ha ha.

Where the Magic Happens
I also recently completed a page of my youngest daughter at the 4th of July parade last year that I think turned out cute. I cut out the stars with a friends Cricut, embossed them with dots, then sanded the tops of them so the dots were white. I adhered them with foam squares so they stick off the page. Its hard to tell from the picture but its pretty cute in person.
Last weekend I went up to Cushing with a few ladies on my very first "Scrapbooking Retreat Weekend". I had a ton of fun and got a few pages done. One of my favorites from the weekend is this circle layout with all 3 of my girls from last winter. I've never done a circle layout but I'm happy with how it turned out. I die cut the snowflakes with my Silhouette, rubbed ink on them with a cotton swab, and sprayed them with some glitter spray. CUTE!!! Again, its hard to tell from the picture but I love it so wanted to show it.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!!!

My Very First Blog Post!
So I have decided to start a blog to share my passion for scrapbooking and for my life. I am in no way a writer but will do my best to keep regular posts. I hope you enjoy this as much as I think I will.
I have only been scrapbooking for a few years but I really enjoy it. I put alot of time into each page and seeing the end result makes me really happy. My kids love looking back at all the pages I've completed and I truly cherish all the memories.
The first layout I want to share is a Halloween layout of my oldest daughter. I want to share
this layout first because I LOVE the way the flowers turned out. I punched 5 scallops from cardstock, soaked them in water, stuck them together with a brad, and gently gathered them up toward the top. When they dried, I attached them with a glue dot. Soo cute and so easy.
I used my Quickutz Silhouette to cut out the envelope on the top and also the title. I could not scrapbook without my Silhouette. It can cut anything!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my first post. Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
